Schedule a routine

Schedule a routine when you want Checklist to create a fresh checklist at a predictable time, such as every morning or on selected weekdays.

Routine scheduling controls on mobile

Set the schedule

  1. Open the routine and its settings.
  2. Select Add Schedule.
  3. Select one or more weekdays and choose the time when the checklist should be created.
  4. Select Add Schedule again.

Selecting all seven days creates a daily schedule. Selecting fewer days creates a weekly schedule for those days. You can enable or disable an existing daily or weekly schedule, change its days or time and select Save, or select Delete Schedule and confirm the deletion. Monthly and other schedule types created elsewhere show a summary on mobile but can be edited only in the web app. A routine schedule does not set a due date on a task.

Notifications and access

Checklist can notify you when a schedule creates a checklist. If notifications are disabled on your device, the app may ask for permission or offer a shortcut to the right settings.

You need an internet connection and permission to manage the routine. Adding a schedule requires Plus or higher. Mobile scheduling does not provide controls for default owners or assignees.

Choose the right routine schedule

A morning routine often needs a fresh checklist every day. A routine based on a housekeeping checklist might run on selected weekdays instead. Monthly schedules must be created or edited in the web app.
