Share a checklist
Send a read-only link when someone should view the checklist online. Send it as text when they only need a snapshot of its current contents.

If you own the checklist, open its menu and select Share.
Choose a format
Via Link
Select Get Link to create a private read-only link. Tap the link to preview it, copy it, or send it with your phone's share sheet. Select Remove Link when it should stop working.
As Text
Choose As Text to copy or share the checklist name and tasks as plain text. Turn on Include Notes if you also want to send checklist and task notes.
Anyone who receives an active private link can read the shared checklist through that link. Treat it as sensitive: send it only to intended recipients and remove it if it was shared with the wrong person.
You might send a read-only moving checklist to a family member or moving company that needs to see the plan but should not change it.
A text share does not update when the checklist changes. Review it before including notes, which may contain details you did not intend to send.
You need a connection to create or remove a link. After Checklist opens the share sheet, the app you choose is responsible for sending it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can someone edit my checklist through the private link?
No. The link is read-only. To let someone work in the checklist, add them through Checklist Members.
Why are Copy and Share missing on the Via Link tab?
Create the link first by selecting Get Link. Those actions appear after a link exists.
