Complete, archive, duplicate, or delete a checklist
Completing, archiving, duplicating, and deleting serve different purposes. Choose the action that matches what you need to keep.
Choose what happens to a checklist
- To mark a checklist complete or reopen it, use the checkbox beside its name and confirm the status when asked.
- To take it out of your active list without deleting it, open settings and choose Archive.
- Choose Duplicate Checklist when you need an independent copy.
- Choose Delete only when you no longer need the checklist, then confirm.
Archive is not Trash
Archiving keeps the checklist. Deleting moves it to Trash for a limited recovery period. Delete Completed Tasks permanently removes completed steps from the checklist. Those tasks cannot be restored through Trash. Some other options require ownership or a paid plan.
