Restore a deleted checklist

Use Trash to restore a recently deleted checklist before your plan's restore period ends. Trash shows deleted checklists from the selected team and is available only while you are online.

Trash with recent and extended-restore checklists

Restore a checklist from Trash

  1. Connect to the internet and select the correct team.
  2. Open Checklists, then open Trash.
  3. Find the deleted checklist and select its restore button.
  4. When the checklist is restored, open it from the confirmation or the Checklists list.

You must still be a member of the team. Trash is not an offline archive, and it cannot restore a checklist from a team you can no longer access.

Restore windows

Every plan can restore a checklist for 3 days after deletion. Plus, Family, Pro, and Enterprise extend the period to 90 days. With Free, older checklists within that 90-day period remain visible but show an upgrade option instead of a restore button.

After your restore period ends, the checklist cannot be recovered. Checklist removes expired items from the Trash list when it refreshes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why was I returned to the dashboard?

Trash closes if you go offline or are not a member of the selected team. Reconnect or switch to a team you belong to.

Can a collaborator restore a checklist?

You need to be a current team member and have permission to restore it. If the option is unavailable, ask the checklist or team owner for help.
