Generate Public Checklist Templates from YOUR content
Turn existing content into a checklist template in minutes. Paste a URL (e.g., a YouTube tutorial or blog post) or paste raw text, optionally add a short prompt, and generate a draft you can refine in the editor.
How to open the generator
- Go to Public Templates: /account/templates
- Click Create Template
- In the Create page, choose Generate from Content
Step 1 — Provide a URL or paste text
- URL (optional but recommended): Paste a page or video URL, then click Fetch. If available, we’ll pull the title, description, and content. You can still edit the text afterward.
- YouTube support: Captions are combined with timestamps for better extraction.
- Paste text: If you already have text, paste it directly into the Content field.
Step 2 — Configure generation
- Organization: If you have more than one, select which organization to publish under.
- Template Type: Choose the view for the generated template:
- Checklist: Tasks and subtasks.
- Links: Creates a link‑list style template (each task links to a url).
- Include detailed task notes: Adds notes to elaborate on tasks.
- Prompt (optional): A short instruction to guide the generator (e.g., “Focus on beginner steps”, “Group by phases”).
- Terms: Check to agree before generating.
Step 3 — Generate
- Click Generate. Processing may take a moment depending on content length.
- On success, you’ll be redirected to the Template Editor for further editing.
Tips
- Use clean sources: Prefer content with clear structure (headings, steps, numbered lists).
- Refine in the editor: Reorder, rename, add notes/links, and set SEO meta before publishing.
Limitations and tips
- Private, paywalled, or heavily scripted pages may not fetch correctly—paste text instead.
- Extremely long pages may produce partial previews; trim to the relevant section.
- Respect copyrights and only use content you have rights to transform.
Troubleshooting
- Fetch failed: Check the URL format or try pasting the text manually.
- Invalid URL: Use a fully qualified URL (https://…).
- Content too short: Add more context or combine multiple sections.
- Generation error: Try again later or simplify the content. If it persists, contact support.
