Manage routine settings
Open a routine's settings to change its name or notes, manage sharing and Play settings, make a copy, or delete it.

Details and Play settings
Choose a name that describes the repeated work. Add notes if people need more context before opening the steps. You can also show or hide task suggestions.
Choose how tasks appear in Play View: Group shows a parent task and its subtasks together, while Sequence shows one task at a time. Decide whether people must finish earlier tasks before moving on.
Timer settings let you choose whether timers start automatically, whether a finished timer completes the task, and whether Play then moves to the next task. You can also allow early completion, pause timers when you leave the app, and choose a timer-end signal.
Set preparation time before each timed task and rest time between activities. Individual tasks can use the routine's rest setting or their own.
Changes apply to future runs. Runs you have already created keep their existing settings.
Duplicate or share the routine
Duplicate a routine when you need a separate version with its own steps. The copy receives a new name and opens for editing. Duplicating a routine requires Plus or higher.
The Share with family/ contacts setting controls whether team members can use the routine. The option depends on your role and who owns it. Sharing the routine does not automatically share every checklist created from it.
Delete carefully
Deleting removes the routine after you confirm. Checklists already created from it remain available, but you can no longer run or schedule the routine. If you only need a variation, duplicate it instead.

Why are some settings missing?
