Move or copy a task

Move a task when it belongs elsewhere, or copy it when you need the same step in two checklists.

Choose a destination

1. Select a task and open its details menu.
2. Choose Move/Copy Task.
3. Select the destination checklist and, if necessary, a parent task within it.
4. Select Move to transfer the task or Copy to keep the original as well.

What changes?

Moving removes the task from its previous location. Copying leaves it in place and creates a separate version at the destination. Check the target carefully, especially if the task has subtasks or important notes.
