Add tasks and subtasks

A checklist works best when each task is a clear action. Use subtasks when a larger job needs several smaller steps.

  1. Open a checklist and type a task name into the task field.
  2. Select the add button to save it. Add the remaining tasks the same way.
  3. To nest a task, use its subtask control. Use the opposite control to return it to the main level.
  4. Drag a task by its handle to reorder it when manual ordering is available.

Keeping the list manageable

A parent task can be expanded or collapsed to show or hide its subtasks. This does not delete the hidden steps. For a longer list, the multiple-task import control is faster than adding one step at a time.
