Reminders

You can set a Reminder for a task consisting of a date and time. When the task reminder is due, you will receive a notification via email and on iOS or Android (if you have the mobile app installed).

Note: If a Reminder has expired and your task is already completed, no notification will be triggered. This is because the task is considered completed, and no reminder is needed for it.

Setting a Reminder

To set a Reminder, hover over the task you wish to add the Reminder to. The Reminder Icon (Clock) will appear. Click on it and select from the dropdown menu:

  • Clear (optional - see below)
  • +1 Hour
  • Tomorrow
  • +1 Week
  • +1 Month
  • Custom
  • Repeats (optional - see below)
  • Early Reminder (optional - see below)

Default Time

When you pick Tomorrow, +1 Week, or +1 Month, your Default Notification Time will be used (defaults to 09:00). You can change your “Default Notification Time” in your Account ↗ page.

Custom Due Date

If you need a more specific date and time than the quick options offer, select the Custom option. Choose the date from the calendar followed by the time from the time picker. Your custom due date & time Reminder will be set.

Clearing a Reminder

To clear a Reminder, click on the Reminder icon (Clock) when hovering over the task, then select Clear from the dropdown menu. The Reminder will be deleted.

Repeat Reminder

If you want a Reminder that repeats on a schedule, you can add to your Reminder a Repeat Reminder. Every time a Repeat Reminder is due:

  • The task will be reopened (set to Open - if not already) so that you can work on it.
  • You will receive a notification reminder.

Note: Unlike a normal Reminder, a completed task will still trigger a notification if it has a Repeat Reminder.

Setting a Repeat Schedule

To set a Repeat Reminder, open the Reminder menu (hover on the task and click the Clock icon). Choose Repeat to bring up the Repeat Schedule dialog, where you can choose from:

  • Daily: Choose the time of day you wish to receive the reminder.
  • Weekly: Choose which days of the week to receive the reminder.
  • Monthly: Choose a day in the month to receive the reminder.

Click Save to keep your selection.

To cancel a Repeat Reminder, click on the Clear button in the Reminder menu.

Early Reminder

By default, a notification will be sent at the set due date and time. If you prefer to receive an earlier notification, you can set an Early Reminder. Click on the Early Reminder option from the Reminder menu, and select how many minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months before the due time you'd like the notification to be sent.
