  • Disneyland Park, California

The original Disney park brings together Sleeping Beauty Castle, the Matterhorn and classic lands, with newer adventures in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This is Disneyland Park in Anaheim, not the similarly named park in Paris.

  • Disney California Adventure Park

California Adventure sits opposite Disneyland Park in Anaheim. Cars Land, Pixar Pier and Avengers Campus give it a different mix of settings and rides, from Radiator Springs Racers to the Incredicoaster.

  • Magic Kingdom Park

Cinderella Castle anchors Walt Disney World’s classic storybook park. Its lands include familiar favourites such as Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, alongside TRON Lightcycle / Run and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

  • EPCOT

EPCOT combines World Showcase’s country pavilions with rides about imagination, nature, technology and adventure. Leave room for exploring and food as well as attractions such as Spaceship Earth and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

  • Disney's Hollywood Studios

Step into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land and Hollywood-inspired settings. This park pairs film worlds with experiences such as Tower of Terror and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

  • Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park

Animal Kingdom mixes wildlife experiences, walking trails and rides around the Tree of Life. Pandora, Kilimanjaro Safaris and Expedition Everest offer very different reasons to visit, so a ride-only plan misses part of the park.

  • Disneyland Park, Paris

The Paris castle park has its own Sleeping Beauty Castle, with a dragon beneath it, and lands including Adventureland, Frontierland and Discoveryland. It shares some familiar ride names with other resorts without being an identical park.

  • Disney Adventure World

The second Disneyland Paris park is now Disney Adventure World, formerly Walt Disney Studios Park. Its worlds include Frozen, Pixar settings and Marvel Avengers Campus. A previous visit under the old name still counts as a visit to this park.

  • Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disneyland is the castle park at Tokyo Disney Resort in Urayasu, east of central Tokyo. Familiar Disney lands sit alongside distinctive experiences such as Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast and Pooh’s Hunny Hunt.

  • Tokyo DisneySea

Tokyo DisneySea is organised around themed ports rather than a central castle. Mount Prometheus, Mediterranean Harbor and Fantasy Springs help make it a distinct destination, with experiences such as Journey to the Center of the Earth.

  • Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong Disneyland is on Lantau Island, with Castle of Magical Dreams at its centre. Mystic Manor, Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars and World of Frozen are useful starting points for a visit.

  • Shanghai Disneyland

Shanghai Disneyland is in Pudong, with Enchanted Storybook Castle at its centre. TRON Lightcycle Power Run, Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure and Zootopia give the park a distinctive ride lineup.

Six destinations, twelve theme parks

A resort is the whole destination, while a theme park is one ticketed park within it. This list counts individual theme parks, so visiting Disneyland Resort does not automatically mean you have visited both of its parks. Tick an entry when you have visited that park; use its linked rides checklist for the experiences inside it.

California: Disneyland Resort

Anaheim has two neighbouring theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. They offer different lands and ride lineups. Downtown Disney is a shopping and dining area, not a third theme park.

Florida: Walt Disney World Resort

The four theme parks are Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. They are separate parks spread across the resort, so allow for transport rather than treating them like adjacent lands. Disney Springs is not another theme park.

France: Disneyland Paris

The two theme parks are Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World, formerly Walt Disney Studios Park. The new name does not add a thirteenth park. If you visited before the rename, keep that park visit checked and use the rides checklist to track newer experiences separately.

Japan: Tokyo Disney Resort

Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are in Urayasu, Chiba, beside Tokyo Bay. Disneyland is the castle park; DisneySea explores themed ports and has a different identity. Both count separately toward the twelve-park list.

Hong Kong and Shanghai

Hong Kong Disneyland, on Lantau Island, and Shanghai Disneyland, in Pudong, are separate destinations, each with one theme park. They are not interchangeable visits simply because both are in China.

Optional extras: Florida’s two Disney water parks

Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon have their own attraction checklists. They are worthwhile extras if a water-park day fits your trip, but they are not included in the twelve theme-park total here. Check their operating schedules before making plans.

Turn your next park into a trip

Use the Disney vacation checklist for admission, accommodation, transport and park-day planning. Then work through the Disney packing checklist for your bag. The worldwide map is for seeing where the destinations are, not for finding a park entrance or a driving route.

This is a list of existing theme parks, not every announced Disney development. An announced future destination is not a park you can visit yet.

Who it's for

Disney fans recording past park visits, friends comparing their travels and visitors choosing their next Disney destination.

How to use

Check the parks you have visited and save your checklist to keep that record. Open a park name for its description and link to the park’s ride checklist. Choose Save & Compare if you want a group in which each person keeps their own progress. A tick records a visit, not a ticket booking or a plan to go.

Disney Parks Around the World Checklist Frequently Asked Questions

How many Disney theme parks are there worldwide?

There are 12 theme parks across six resort destinations: four in Florida, two in California, two in Paris, two in Tokyo, one in Hong Kong and one in Shanghai. The two Florida water parks are separate and are not counted in that theme-park total.

What is the difference between Disneyland and Disney World?

Disneyland Resort is in Anaheim, California, with Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Walt Disney World Resort is in Florida, with Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, as well as two water parks and other facilities.

Does Disney Adventure World replace a park on the list?

It is the renamed and reimagined second park at Disneyland Paris, formerly Walt Disney Studios Park. It remains one park entry rather than counting as an additional theme park. You can record new rides separately on its rides checklist.

Do water parks and Disney Springs count toward all 12?

No. This challenge counts theme parks. Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon have separate attraction lists, while Disney Springs and Downtown Disney are shopping, dining and entertainment areas.

Can I compare the parks I have visited with friends?

Yes. Choose Save & Compare to create a group. Each participant keeps a separate checklist, so comparing visits does not mean everyone edits the same list.
