A ride list for Magic Kingdom in Florida

Magic Kingdom is one of Walt Disney World’s four theme parks. This checklist covers its rides and moving attractions, not the neighboring parks or every show and character experience. For the original California park, use the Disneyland California rides checklist; matching ride names do not guarantee identical experiences or height rules.

Use the lands to shape your day

Fantasyland combines story rides, the carousel, the Mad Tea Party and two roller coasters: The Barnstormer and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Tomorrowland ranges from the PeopleMover to Space Mountain and TRON. Adventureland includes Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Liberty Square and Frontierland add Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

That mix matters when choosing what to do together. Slow movement does not necessarily mean a quiet or brightly lit experience. Read each ride’s Experience features and Boarding details fields for documented effects and extra boarding conditions. Official sensory information may include the queue; unlisted effects are not confirmed absent. Setting describes the main experience, not guaranteed shelter while waiting.

Height requirements are specific to this park

The Barnstormer has a 35-inch minimum; Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are 38 inches in the current catalogue. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is 40 inches, Space Mountain 44 inches and TRON Lightcycle / Run 48 inches. Tomorrowland Speedway has a 32-inch minimum, with a separate 54-inch solo-driving threshold and companion condition.

Children under seven must be accompanied by someone aged 14 or older. Meeting the numeric minimum does not replace the ride’s other boarding instructions. Blank numbers remain blank where a historical or future rule is unknown; they are not converted into a zero-height requirement.

Separate the current roster from closures and future rides

This checklist contains 24 current-roster entries: 22 listed without a verified temporary closure and two temporarily closed. Walt Disney World Railroad was closed with reopening expected in November 2026; Carousel of Progress was closed with reopening expected in late spring 2027. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure had a future closure announced from 2 November, so it is not labeled closed before that date. These are dated notices, not live operating information.

The list also retains 12 retired experiences and four announced additions. Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island Rafts are retired, not temporary closures. Upcoming entries are for following the park’s expansion, not rides you can experience today. Where Disney has not announced a final name or height rule, the entry says so.

Keep a record across visits

Record older rides you experienced before they closed, and track a permanent successor separately. Splash Mountain and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure should not automatically count as the same achievement. Seasonal versions such as Jingle Cruise remain with Jungle Cruise, rather than inflating the list with another checkbox.

Before traveling, check Magic Kingdom’s official attraction directory and the operating schedule for your date. Keep trip tasks in the Disney vacation checklist and use the Disney packing checklist for what to bring.

How to use

Check the rides you have experienced, then save your checklist to keep updating it. Retired entries can record past visits; leave upcoming rides unchecked until you experience them. Choose Save & Compare when you want a group in which each person updates their own copy. Open a ride’s notes for its description; consult its fields for height rules, boarding details and availability.

Magic Kingdom Rides Checklist Frequently Asked Questions

How many Magic Kingdom rides are included?

This checklist includes 24 current-roster entries, of which two were temporarily closed, plus 12 retired experiences and four announced additions. The count includes transport and moving-theater experiences but not every show, parade or walkthrough. It is not a live count of operating rides.

Which Magic Kingdom rides have no minimum height?

Disney lists Any Height for rides including Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan’s Flight, “it’s a small world” and the PeopleMover. Accompaniment and other boarding conditions still apply. Check the Height rule and Boarding details fields rather than assuming that every ride without a numeric value has no height requirement.

What is the tallest minimum height requirement on the current list?

TRON Lightcycle / Run has a 48-inch minimum in this catalogue. Space Mountain is 44 inches, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure 40 inches, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad 38 inches. These are Magic Kingdom’s rules; similarly named rides at other parks can differ.

Why are closed and retired rides included?

They serve different purposes. A temporarily closed ride remains part of the current roster and may reopen. A retired ride lets you preserve a past visit but is no longer available. Upcoming attractions are announced future experiences. Keeping those states separate makes the list useful for both your next visit and your longer-term ride history.

Does each person in a comparison group use the same checklist?

Each participant keeps and updates their own checklist. The group brings those individual results together so you can compare which rides you have experienced. It does not turn everyone’s visits into one shared completion record.
