Choose your route through Pixar
Release order starts with Toy Story (1995) and follows the studio through Hoppers and Toy Story 5 (2026). It is an easy way to explore how Pixar's worlds and storytelling developed, while meeting recurring characters before their later adventures. You can also pick a single series or an original story for tonight.
Follow a favourite series
Use the Collection filter to bring related films together:
- Toy Story: watch the five numbered films in release order for Woody, Buzz and their fellow toys. Lightyear is a separate space adventure about the hero behind the Buzz Lightyear toy. It appears in the same collection so you can find it easily, but it follows a different story.
- Cars: the three films follow Lightning McQueen and his circle. Cars 2 gives Mater a prominent international spy adventure, while Cars 3 returns its attention to Lightning's racing career.
- Monsters: Monsters, Inc. introduces Mike and Sulley's working world; Monsters University later explores their student years. Release order preserves that introduction, although the university story happens earlier.
- Finding Nemo: start with Marlin's search for Nemo, then follow Dory's own search for family in Finding Dory.
- The Incredibles: the two films continue the Parr family's superhero story, with the second shifting more attention toward Helen's public work and Bob's responsibilities at home.
- Inside Out: begin with Riley's childhood move, then explore the arrival of new emotions during her teenage years in Inside Out 2.
Discover a different world
The Standalone collection gathers films that can be approached individually within this released feature list. For a journey shaped by music, try Coco or Soul. Ratatouille builds its story around cooking and creative ambition; Luca centres on a seaside summer friendship. WALL-E, Elio and Hoppers each use a science-fiction idea to explore a different kind of connection.
These are starting points rather than a ranking. Open a film's name for its short, spoiler-free description and choose the premise that appeals to you.
Build your own Pixar viewing record
Tick the films you have already watched before saving, then return to your checklist as you work through the rest. Browsing a collection or changing the table order helps you choose; saving keeps the complete movie list. For a group movie challenge, each person updates their own checklist and the group shows your progress together.
To continue exploring animation, visit the Disney animated movies list. It follows Walt Disney Animation Studios' own feature catalogue, giving you a second clearly defined collection to work through.
Coming next
Pixar's Gatto is scheduled for March 5, 2027. Keep it in mind for a future movie night; the 31 checkboxes above cover films already released. Release plans can change, so confirm the date when planning a cinema visit.

How to use
- Choose a film or a series. Browse in release order, or use the Collection filter to find Toy Story, Cars, Inside Out or another Pixar collection. Open a movie's name for a short description, and use the Year column to follow release order within the series.
- Check off the films you have watched. Each feature has its own entry, including Lightyear as a separate film from the numbered Toy Story movies. A cinema rerelease counts as the same movie, not another viewing goal.
- Save your Pixar watchlist. Choose Start tracking and, if prompted, sign in or create an account to keep your progress. Return after each movie to update your list. When you save your checklist, it includes the complete Pixar catalogue, even if you are browsing a filtered collection.
- Watch and compare together. Choose Save & Compare to start a group. Friends or family can update their own checklists and compare which films everyone has watched.
