Recycling Checklist
Table of Contents
Glass Bottles and Jars
Remove all lids from containers.
Ensure they are clean of food scraps and have no liquid.
Keep jars and bottles empty of other materials.
There is no need to peel labels off containers.
Steel and Aerosol Cans
Steel lids can be collected by placing them inside a steel can and squashing the open end together.
Use a magnet to check if the can is recyclable - if it sticks, it's steel and can be recyclable.
Cardboard and Newspapers
Remove any plastic wrap from items.
Do not put waxed cardboard.
Keep cereal cartons and boxes empty of other materials.
Flatten boxes and cartons - this allows for more space in your recycling bin.
Plastic Bottles, Tubs and Containers
All rigid plastic bottles, tubs and containers can be recycled.
