Divide the chores

Start with the jobs your household needs this week. Remove anything that is not due, and agree who will handle the rest. Check that the workload fits each person's available time.

For a small home, one floor-cleaning task may be enough. If different people clean different rooms, duplicate the task and add a room name.

Pick up unfinished work

At the end of the week, check what is left. Give it a new date or agree a different owner. Keep detailed cleaning instructions in the Cleaning Checklist so this shared list stays easy to scan.

Who it's for

Housemates, couples and families sharing the practical work of running a home.

How to use

  1. Save a Checklist for the current week or a Template for reuse.
  2. Remove irrelevant chores and duplicate room-specific jobs if useful.
  3. Agree owners and set due dates using the saved checklist's controls.
  4. Check off work when it is finished.
  5. Reassign or reschedule unfinished chores before starting the next week.
