  • Mow the lawn and trim the vegetation.
  • Keep the lawn mowed on a regular basis as long as your home is on the market.
  • Clean the driveway.
  • Clear all vegetation from the walkways and out of driveway cracks.
  • Keep your garbage containers at the rear of the house .
  • Keep toys and bicycles from the yard.
  • Make sure the 'Real Estate For Sale' sign is upright, prominent, and in reasonably good condition.
  • Remove window screens from the front of the house and wash the windows.

  • If you have children, keep their tub toys stored neatly.
  • Clean and dust the windowsills.
  • Keep blinds open and raised.
  • Dust everything.
  • Remove ashes and soot from fireplaces.
  • Clean all interior doors and frames.
  • Keep furniture tidy.
  • Clean and straighten closets.
  • Keep dirty laundry in a closed hamper.
