A ride list for more than one visit

The table separates coasters, boat rides, simulators and shows. Hollywood Dream and Backdrop have separate rows because they are independently boarded experiences. Temporary music, anime and Halloween versions stay with their underlying attraction rather than inflating your completion total.

Read the companion rule, not just the minimum

Japan’s requirements use centimeters. The minimum shown can require a supervising companion: 92 cm is not permission for a child to ride Yoshi alone. Some rides also have a maximum height. Read the boarding note, then follow the attraction’s posted rules and crew instructions.

Closures do not erase earlier rides

The former Sesame Street Fun World rides remain available to mark as experienced, even though that area has closed. A suspended regular presentation can also share its building or coaster with a temporary program. Check what is actually running before joining a queue.

Keep earlier experiences in your record

Documented retired and temporarily closed attractions remain available to check off from past visits. The catalogue focuses on rides and established attractions rather than every seasonal event. For your next visit, read the boarding details as well as the minimum height; companion and restraint rules can also apply.

Track this park alongside the other destinations on the Universal parks and locations checklist.

Who it's for

Visitors choosing experiences at Universal Studios Japan, returning fans recording earlier rides and friends comparing their progress.

How to use

Compare attractions in the table and open an entry for its description and boarding details. Check experiences you have actually tried, then save your checklist. Save & Compare lets each person keep separate progress in a group; a retired attraction can still count as a past experience.

Universal Studios Japan Rides Checklist Frequently Asked Questions

Does this list include Donkey Kong Country?

Yes. Mine Cart Madness appears in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD alongside Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge and Yoshi’s Adventure.

Are Hollywood Dream and Backdrop the same checklist item?

No. They are separately boarded forward- and backward-facing experiences, so you can mark each one independently.

Can I still mark Spider-Man and the Sesame Street rides?

Yes. Documented retired attractions remain listed with their retired status. They are not suggestions for a ride you can take today.

Is Space Fantasy permanently closed?

The regular presentation is suspended, not classified here as permanently retired. The coaster can host a temporary themed version; check the current program rather than treating the regular title’s closure as proof the coaster is inaccessible.

Does meeting the height requirement guarantee boarding?

No. Companion, maximum-height, restraint-fit and other safety requirements can also apply. The park’s signs and crew instructions take precedence.
