Tent Camping Checklist

Tent
Take your tent out of its storage bag.
Spread it out on the ground and check for any tears or rips in the fabric.
Run all of the zippers to make sure they are all working properly.
Make sure that you have all of your tent polls and stakes.
If you have fiberglass tent polls, make sure that the elastic bands that hold them together is in good shape.
If any of the bands are starting to fray, can pickup a repair kit.
Sleeping Gear
Roll out sleeping bags on the floor to make sure that they are in good shape.
Check if the sleeping bags need to be washed.
Check the zippers are working properly.
Have some extra blankets just incase.
If you use an air mattress fill it with air - find and fix any air leaks.
Tarps
Have two tarps for your tent - one to place under, one to place above the tent.
Spread the tarps out and make sure they are in good shape.
Have a few extra larger tarps to go over your picnic table.
Camp Stove & Cooking Gear
Try out your stove before leaving.
Have your stove repaired in case it's dried out.
Have separate pots, pans and utensils for camping.
Have a small plastic wash tub and some scrubbing pads.
Personal Gear
Make sure you have enough warm clothes.
Bring along extra pairs of clothes, shoes, coats and rain gear.
Take all items you use on a daily basis.
Make a list of what is in the hygiene kit and tape it to the inside of the lid to make it easier to see if you have everything.
