A coast-to-coast-and-north travel goal

Banff and Jasper are famous road-trip destinations, but Canada's national parks also include remote northern landscapes, islands and coastal wilderness. Some are accessible by road, while others require boats, charter flights, specialist guides or extensive planning.

This checklist includes the 37 national parks and 11 national park reserves managed by Parks Canada. Park reserves are part of the national-parks program and are counted here. The separately designated Rouge National Urban Park is not part of this 48-location list. For current conditions, permits and visitor arrangements, consult Parks Canada↗. The map markers are representative points, not park boundaries.

Who it's for

Canadian road-trip travelers, national park enthusiasts, families keeping travel memories, and visitors planning a long-term parks challenge.
