Honeymoon Checklist

6-12 Months Before

• Discuss your honeymoon ideas with your fiance.
• Determine your budget.
• Discuss which honeymoon locations you can consider.
• Check your passport - apply for a new one or renew your current one if necessary.
• Find out if you need any vaccinations before visiting your destination.

3-4 Months Before

• Book and confirm your reservations and send in any required deposits.
• Notify your guests that they can contribute to your Honeymoon as a wedding gift.
• Find out what travel documents will be necessary.
• Start thinking about your packing list and buy things you need.
• Check with your bank to ensure that your ATM card will work if you plan to use it in your honeymoon holiday location.
• Find out if your credit cards are accepted where you're going.
• Check if you can use your cell phone abroad, enquire about the costs.
• Arrange travel insurance.

1 Month Before

• Get written confirmation for hotels, car rentals and airlines tickets.
• Have the camera you'll want to take ready.
• Leave copies of your travel documents with friends or family at home.
• Arrange for someone to check in on your house whilst you are away.

1 Week Before

• Start packing.
• Purchase your traveler's checks and get your travel cash.
• Check your camera and get extra batteries.
• If you're staying at a hotel on your wedding night, be sure to pack an overnight bag.
• Arrange for someone to pick up your wedding clothes at your hotel.
• Prepare snacks and activites for the journey.

Day of Departure

• Check the internet to confirm your flights are running on time.
• Double check your document, travel documents, tickets and hotel confirmations.
• Allow extra time for security check-in procedures.
• Ensure all electrical appliances are unplugged.
• Check that all windows and doors are securely locked/fastened.
