Tutorial for a Links Format

Tutorial for a Links Format

What's a Links format? A checklist with Links in it. What can I use it for? There are many examples: checklist of websites to follow, products to buy (with links to them). Basically any list which is predominately made of links to websites.

Before getting started with the Links format, we suggest you get yourself familiar with the simple format. We have made a great tutorial for it:

Simple Format Tutorial

This tutorial will not repeat what is in the Simple format tutorial but focus on what is additional for the Links format.

Adding a Link

Instead of a single textarea for inputting the tasks like in the Simple format, the Links format is geared towards easily adding links. Each link (URL) is made of the URL, name, notes and optional pictures.

The above screenshot shows the section for adding a new link. Get started by entering the URL at the top of the new Link section. Immediately after entering the URL, our system will automatically fetch the name of the page and enter it. You can always override it with your own name. Enter any notes describing the link and optionally upload picture(s). Remember that pictures speak louder than words and demonstrating with a picture is always better.

When ready for the next link, simply click on the "+ Add Another Link" blue button and a new link box will be added. You can add as many links as you like (but a minimum of 2 is required).

Managing Links

Once you have added your links, you can easily manage them:
Delete. click on the Trash can button on the top right of the link section to delete the link.
Move Up/ Down. Under the Trash can, you will find Up/ Down buttons which you can use to re-arrange the links.
View picture. Each link picture will show its name and a link which will open the image in a new window. You can use this to verify the images.
Delete picture. Next to each picture, you will find a red Trash can which you can use to delete the picture.
